Our last and final post from the Formula Drift Show.
This weekend held one of the most long awaited events that really kicks off the drift season out here in SoCal’s Long Beach. Formula Drift looks to have a great turn out of cars and spectators. The gloomy weather was a definite improvement compared to past years of being out in the burning sun. The weather was a little cold for my taste but still a nice day to enjoy cars and drifting. Our event photographer Emerson (Emu ) was able to attend and bring you the coverage from the event. So BIG THANK YOU to him for the images you’re about to see. We’ll be posting the coverage in a series this week. So enjoy the first segment from Formula Drift, Long Beach.
We’ll have one more part to the Formula D tech inspection and Import Tuner meet after this post, then move on to the Royal Orgins Vegas meet. That we were also able to attend this past weekend.
Car & Coffee Irvine is always something to look forward to even when it’s meeting the homies up at 6:15 in the morning. I met up with few friends at the Irvine Spectrum and caravan-ed it to Cars and Coffee shortly after.
Finally parked and ready to walk around the meet.
Didn’t want to overload the last post with pics. Here’s part 2 of the Toys for tots event .
Gathers if you doing JDM you have to know about Gathers speakers!
I didn’t really hear about this one but I’m glad BYU fam are straight up car enthusiast and love the scene. They Heard about the meet and were down to go. Thanks Nick for the pics! With that, lets us bring you some of the pretty gnarlies cars for you to check out.
July 21st 2012 Autocon brought a car show to Santa Anita Park in Arcadia for the first time. (From my experiences in the show scene i think this was the first time it’s been held there).
Lance Uchida a part of Bob’s Your Uncle took quite a few pics from the event so bare with us for more pics as we go through them and pick out the ones that stand out.
If you didn’t get the opportunity to go to the show, here’s the coverage:
Michael Mao’s NSX is well known in the show scene and it’s no surprise why.
Joey Lee from the Chronicles sick Q45 on the pavement .. love the Equips!
CCW’s never get old . . Supra + CCW classics = Awesome!
Big Mike’s Prelude looking clean as usual. So nice.
Had a random conversation with homies at Mastermind and topic came up of painting a car HKS purple. Is it too much ? Should it be used as only an accenting color? I know this isn’t identical to the paint HKS uses but it’s close enough. Car looks pretty bad ass in this color and definitely a head turner. So i’ll go with YES a car painted in HKS purple looks good AND can be used as an accenting color.
That’s some wide ass rear quarter panels! Wide body for sure. Doesn’t fit the lines of the car but definitely gives it presence.
Awesome pic Scott Chu
