Toyotafest is one of my favorite events to go to not only because of the nice location at the Queenmary but because of it’s roots. Toyota Owners and Restorer’s Club (TORC) AKA Toyotafest bring the enthusiast through the years, old and new together for a gathering that just feels so humble. No crazy model lounges or loud music from 10 different booths. Just cars, raffles and enthusiasts. I try and attend this event every year since I’ve found out about it maybe 7-10 years ago and have fun seeing old friends and meeting new ones there.
I have my own coverage of the event but wanted to introduce on of the BobsYrUncle crew Eric Gamboa that participated at the event and took a few photos to share.
This weekend held one of the most long awaited events that really kicks off the drift season out here in SoCal’s Long Beach. Formula Drift looks to have a great turn out of cars and spectators. The gloomy weather was a definite improvement compared to past years of being out in the burning sun. The weather was a little cold for my taste but still a nice day to enjoy cars and drifting. Our event photographer Emerson (Emu ) was able to attend and bring you the coverage from the event. So BIG THANK YOU to him for the images you’re about to see. We’ll be posting the coverage in a series this week. So enjoy the first segment from Formula Drift, Long Beach.
We’ll have one more part to the Formula D tech inspection and Import Tuner meet after this post, then move on to the Royal Orgins Vegas meet. That we were also able to attend this past weekend.
Seeing that we were limited on time we didn’t get to see the entire car show and i’m sure we missed a lot of the hyped FR-S/BRZ’s out there but the ones we came across looked pretty bad ass. I wish I got to see the one built by the homies at Platinum VIP/ Phantom Garage and the Iforged one but I totally missed out. These are the ones that caught my eye and stood out to me while walking the halls.
