Seeing that we were limited on time we didn’t get to see the entire car show and i’m sure we missed a lot of the hyped FR-S/BRZ’s out there but the ones we came across looked pretty bad ass. I wish I got to see the one built by the homies at Platinum VIP/ Phantom Garage and the Iforged one but I totally missed out. These are the ones that caught my eye and stood out to me while walking the halls.
Well I know it’s pretty late and I’m sure everyone has seen all or most of the nicest rides of SEMA but we wanted to bring our coverage to you anyway. We only attended SEMA one day because we didn’t have the luxury of going more days (darn work). We pretty much drove up after work the day before SEMA ended. So we knew we’d have a full day of work ahead of us Friday. Seeing that we had to wake up early for the last day we head over for registration to pick up our passes for the day and our luck they couldn’t find our name for media. Since we were pressed for time we asked how much it was to go into the event as a spectator. Who knew it was $75 for a day? Technically its $75 for the four day pass but seeing that we were there the last day thought they’d gives us a break. WRONG! Haha it wasn’t their fault but we decided to wait it and have them look for our Media passes again. Luckily enough they did find our registration and thus began our day. I won’t jibber jabber too much but I wish we could have gone for a few days rather then rush the coverage into one day but there’s always next year.
So fresh and so clean! With all this FR-S, Toyota 86 hype I was thinking i just wanted to give props to the original 86. These are some of the cleanest ones i’ve seen and the exterior and motor work are just beatiful. Got to give props where props are due. E-Impulse Garage AE86 also featured on Hot-Version dvd, “My Car Challenge”
Sick kit from factory is always a plus. Don’t know how easy it is to get the kit here in the US or if it’s even available but sure does look good.
I don’t know what happened to the Scion Fuse concept but it looked pretty damn good (minus the doors). Over all design seems like something that might have caught on. No contest to the Scion FR-S/ Toyota 86 but I think it would have held it’s own. Take a look at the details even the hatch glass moving up and the trunk sliding out. Would have been nice to see this go into production.
Oh man the excitement I got just from hearing HKS was back in the mix and back at Tokyo Auto Salon this year with the NEW Toyota 86 no less, I was ecstatic and was quickly looking up pictures. WOW! I fell in love the old school splash graphic theme. As you’ve seen on my IS300 before. How can you not love it? Back to basics for HKS. To me it’s true HKS styling that made them who they are now. With NOB Taniguchi Driving Can’t wait to see more video’s of this at the D1 Grand prix and what ever else they have lined up. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for the event lists. But, I don’t want to babble on about the details. On to the pics.
